Winter is in full effect here in WI!
I’ve been on a mission this winter to find some staple pieces that are flattering, affordable, and on-trend. Some winter clothing and accessories can make you look frumpy. I’m not trying to look like a snowman this winter! I’ve found some great pieces and accessories to help you stay fashionable this winter!
Here in WI, the weather is constantly changing. I love having layering pieces in my wardrobe to create the perfect warm style from day to day. Pieces that I love to layer are basic tees, leggings, scarfs, lightweight jackets, vests, and sweaters. I love to mix casual, affordable options with a few higher-end pieces. The items I spend more money on are ones that will last and go with just about anything.
My philosophy on fashion is to mix high end and affordable items. I tend to spend more on staple items that will always be in trend and I will get MOST use out of. For example, I invested in a pair of Spanx leggings and have styled them a million different ways. I have also wore them tons. On the other hand, a sweater or shirt, I won’t spend >$50 on because there are only so many ways you can style and wear it.

I find a lot of the time, you get what you pay for. Higher-end items can be made with better materials that last longer. For example, one of my favorite recent purchases is the Steve Madden Amulet Boots.
These boots retail for just over $100, which some may think is expensive. But, they are very similar to the Gucci boots that are over $1,000.
