Hey, you!
I’m so excited about today’s post because I collaborated with my sweet friend Jasmine from jasminemaria.com!
We are both sharing 5 easy and quick ways to style a hair scarf! Hair scarfs are becoming more and more popular and we want to give you simple and easy ways to style them!Β Be sure to check out her post here and show her some love! I mean, how gorgeous is she!
I love the look a hair scarf gives, but some styles I see in photos are not realistic unless you’re a hairstylist. Well, guess what, I’m not. And I’m guessing most are you aren’t either! But, all of these styles YOU can do! No matter your skill level.
What You’ll Need:
- Hair Scarf- the one I’m wearing is linked below!
- Small Elastics
- Hair Ties
- Bobby Pins
Hair scarfs usually come in a square. To achieve these looks you will need to fold the square in half diagonally so it makes a triangle. Then roll it until you reach the end.
The first way I styled the hair scarf is in a simple side braid, with the scarf tied on the end!
I think this look could be dressed up or down. To achieve this look, I first pulled all of my hair to the side except for a piece of my bangs, I then put my hair into a braid and tied it off with a small elastic.
To make the braid look fuller, I carefully tugged on the hair to pull the braid apart and create a fuller effect.
The second way I styled it was a side pony with the scarf tied over the hair tie. For this look, I lightly curled my hair first. Then, I gathered my hair on the side, tied it with a hair tie, and tied the hair scarf around it. Simple!
Next, I did a half updo.
To achieve this look, I started with curled hair. I then split my hair in half right above my ears and tied it with a hair tie. I then tied the hair scarf around the half pony!
Another version of this is doing a half updo with a bun! Start with your hair half up. Then wrap the half ponytail around into a bun and tied it up with another hair tie. After the bun was secure (you may need some bobby pins), I tied the hair scarf around the bun! Ta Da!
Lastly,
I did a simple high ponytail with the hair scarf wrapped around! I started with curled hair again, I then put my hair up in a pretty high pony and tied it with a hair tie like usual. I then tied the hair scarf around the pony! Super easy and quick!
I hope you found some inspiration and a way you want to style your hair with a hair scarf! Be sure to check out Jasmine’s post for more looks!
