Do you know your body needs protein to grow healthy hair? What you eat is important for new hair growth but how do you take care of the hair you already grew? Hair care products!
The hair care products you use are crucial for healthy hair!ย I like to find products that are affordable and easy to use.
Before I tell you my current favorites, let’s talk about my hair type because everyone’s hair is unique.
My Hair:
- Color Treated at an Aveda Salon
- Naturally brownish red
- Fine hair shafts
- Naturally somewhat curly
- Slow growing
- Normal oil production
Now that you know what my hair is like, here comes my current faves!
- Kristen Ess- The One Purple Shampoo $11.99: Purple shampoo is a necessity for me because of the deep golden reddish tones I naturally have in my hair.ย Purple shampoo counteracts the brassy tones in your color treated highlights and hair. This shampoo is the best affordable drugstore purple shampoo I have found! Available at Target!
- Dry Bar Triple Sec 3-in-1 $26: This product is amazing! It works are a dry shampoo as well as a texturizing and volumizing spray. Also, it smells delicious! I love using this on second or third day hair when I need a refresher. I also use this on clean hair to give it some volume. My freshly washed hair is so silky and fine, it needs something to amp it up, and this does the trick!
- Giovanni Frizz Be Gone $16: I usually get frizz and fly-aways when the weather is humid. But on a day to day basis I like to use this serum for silky, smooth, and shiny hair. This stuff lasts FOREVER. The tiniest bit goes a long way! It’s also great to use on wet hair if your using hot tools. I put one pump max in the palm of my hands, rub them together, and apply to the bottom half of my hair first. Then, with the small amount still on my hands, I apply that to the very top. This way, the product applies evenly and doesn’t weigh down your hair.
Those are my top three hair care products I use on a regular basis. I also love to switch it up. I’m always switching up my shampoo and conditioner. I love Aveda products, but don’t love the price point.
