Blackheads are stubborn! You try and try to get rid of them but nothing works. Well, you have come to the right place. If you follow my advice, and use the products mentioned, you WILL get rid of your stubborn blackheads!
To get rid of blackheads, you first need to know what they are. A blackhead is a clogged hair follicle. I know, it sounds weird, but that’s what it is. The hair follicle can be clogged from dirt or sebum that your skin naturally produces. So how to do you get rid of them? Well, you could try a topical acne medication, but for me those did not work. Here is how I get rid of blackheads, and it works!
- Wash your face with a mild face wash, I recommend Philosophy Purity Made Simple.
- After your face is clean, wet a washcloth with very warm water. Apply this to the area you have blackheads. Let the washcloth sit on your skin, if it gets cold, re wet it with very warm water. Do this for about 5 minutes.
- Now the next step you have multiple options, I recommend doing one each week. One option is to apply Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips. These are easy to use and affordable. You apply the strip to wet skin and allow it to dry. Once dry (about 10/15 min), slowly peel off. You will see all of the gunk (blackhead) on the strip! Your skin will be SO soft.
- Another option is a face mask that works wonders. I’m sure you have heard of it but if you haven’t, you need it in your life. My secret weapon is GLAMGLOW Supermud Clearing Treatment. Apply this mask to your problem area, allow it to dry fully. Then rinse it off with a warm washcloth. It will pull out all of the dirt and debris leaving you with clean skin, without the blackheads!
- Lastly, you need to try to maintain blackhead free skin! To do this, I recommend using St. Ives Face Scrub Apricot once a day (day or night). St. Ives has a blackhead specific line of face wash, but I find this one works better.
That’s it! Simple as that. Now get on your way and get rid of those blackheads!
