We all like to spend a little, save a little right?!
No matter how much money you have in your bank account, it’s always nice to get a good deal!!
I have a few tips that I use to save money on fashion items from high end, to target purchases! If your looking for ways to save a little extra, you’ve come to the right spot!!
My #1 tip when it comes to saving money on fashion is buy VERSATILE pieces!!
This will save you TONS in the long run. Instead of purchasing items with lots of color, patterns, and designs, build most of your wardrobe out of pieces that are neutral in color and pattern. This way, you’ll be able to style them a bunch of ways and wear them more than you may want to wear a recognizable pattern.
Purchasing versatile pieces will allow you to mix and match pieces together. It also allows your pieces to be wore year after year without going out of style.
For example, a print like floral may be popular this season, and out of style next season. Whereas a neutral dress can always be styled by adding a floral belt or accessory. The neutral dress that you spend the most on, is able to be restyled while the belt or accessory (less expensive) may not be.
I styled a complete outfit with neutral pieces! Each one of these pieces I’m wearing could be styled many different ways. Heres a list of the neutral pieces in this photo:
- White Sweater– this sweater can be worn buttoned or unbuttoned. I wore this sweater in a completely different look by pairing it with a pair of denim, sandals, and buttoning it up! I also added a hair scarf for some color.
- Rattan Belt– belts are a great way to add texture and detail to a look. This belt completely changed the dress from being plain, to adding some shape at the waist. It also adds a beachy feel with the rattan material.
- Nude Dress– I love purchasing staple pieces like this one. Its a perfect neutral color, great material, and fits perfectly with a little room. This way I know it should fit for more than just one season!
On top of neutral clothing being versatile, they’re typically inexpensive! To save even more you can shop at stores such as Target or Amazon to find some perfect basics. Then, spice them up with accessories. I love to splurge on a nice handbag. It always adds a high end look to a basic outfit.
