Wedding invitations can be pricey! I found inspiration on Pinterest of invites that I thought were classy, elegant, and beautiful. I came up with this picture in my head and a few similar ones on Pinterest.
Once I decided on a look I wanted, I searched high and low for it. Eventually, I found it, but it came with a heavy price tag. So, I decided to DIY it!!
The first thing I did was decide what type of invitation I wanted. There are TONS of websites and options on where to get your invites from. You can also DIY your actual invitation yourself by using an app like Canva. I chose my specific invitation from Minted. They allow you to edit it and send it in for an electronic proof before they print it. You’re able to edit basically everything to your liking.
The invites themselves took about a week to be delivered so keep that in mind.
The ribbon to wrap around the invitations I wanted to be whimsical and romantic so I decided on white chiffon. This fabric frays easily and is very lightweight. The chiffon ribbon comes in a ton of different colors, shop here.
The wax seals I also ordered! You can choose any color and initial or design you want. They’re completely customizable. You can find the wax seals here.
I loved how these invitations turned out and I love that I got to put them together, special, for each guest. One thing to note when you’re shipping is to ask for the post office to hand stamp these. The automated stamper machine could damage the wax seals. Other than that, these are a great simple DIY!
