Recently, I have been testing out Dermatologist Choice Glycolic Peel Pads. I like to test out products in depth before giving a review. I will always give an honest review. If I do not care for an item, I will not share it. Before I tell you my thoughts, let me explain my skin.
In high school (~6 years ago, woa) my skin suffered from Acne. Several years ago, I was on some serious medication to combat it. Nowadays, very occasionally I have breakouts. But my main concern is that I was left with small acne scars.
I am very diligent when it comes to skincare. I actually enjoy winding down at night and doing my nighttime skincare routine.
Skincare makes a huge difference in the appearance of your skin. You wear your skin everyday, you need to take care of it, and put time and effort into it! Your skin is also your largest organ. Do I still need to convince you that your skin is important? I think not!
Now, lets talk a little bit about Dermatologist’s Choice.
Dermatologist Choice is a family owned and operated business created by Dr. Bottiglione who has been a dermatologist for over 35 years. Their products are made to treat a variety of skin issues and prevention of skin issues such as acne and fine lines.
Most of their products are formulated with Glycolic Acid, which helps reveal new, fresh skin faster. All of Dermatologist’s Choice products are certified cruelty free, which is important to me.
Here is how I use my Glycolic Acid Peel Pads:
- I use mine at night only, every night.
- Before using the pads I make sure my face is thoroughly clean. I usually use a gentle cleanser like Purity.
- Use one pad and gently wipe it all over your face, focusing on the T zone (forehead, nose, cheeks).
- I let dry completely before using my moisturizer.
After using the pads, your skin may tingle a slight bit, this means they’re working! One thing I love about these pads is they DO NOT burn or sting what so ever. In the past, I’ve tried pads similar to this and they didn’t feel good. They left my skin feeling tight. These don’t do that. Even if you have sensitive skin, these are gentle enough to use.
A few other things to note: the pads do not have a strong scent or perfume, one container comes with 50 pads, they are under $40, and they are suitable for ALL skin types!
Thus far, I have seen great results in my skin. These pads have been a great addition to my skincare routine and help with improving texture.
